Vitamin C Heals Chronic Disease

The Vitamin C Connection

Vitamin C is perhaps the single most important nutrient you can add to your diet. Because the human body cannot make vitamin C as most animals do, we are prone to deficiency.

Vitamin C and Sugar

The Standard American Diet (SAD) contains massive amounts of sugars. Compounding the problem is the fact that sugar interferes with vitamin C absorption and contributes to heart disease, cancer, diabetes and other chronic diseases.

Vitamin C Preventiion and Healing

In the early 70’s, the connection between vitamin C and good health was making headlines. Linus Pauling, brilliant chemist and twice winner of the Nobel Prize, was making the talk show rounds- as a teenager I was amazed by his work, and that of Adelle Davis. I understood the importance of nutrition in prevention and healing of ailments within my own body and those of others. I took ample amounts of vitamin C and seldom fell ill- even as a teenager!

While it may not cure a cold, vitamin C taken daily as a preventative, will support your immune system’s ability to fight infection.

Dr. Rath’s Vitamin C Discovery

In 1987, Dr. Matthias Rath, physician and researcher, discovered the connection between vitamin C deficiency and a risk factor for heart disease. He then joined Linus Pauling to become the first director of Cardiovascular Research at the Linus Pauling Institute in Palo alto, California.

Dr. Rath was attacked for decades by stakeholders of pharmaceutical medicine, media and politics. Fortunately, his achievements are now being internationally recognized.

Doctors at the hospital were painting a frightening scenario. Fortunately, I had read A LOT of books on health and healing and I knew...

His work in the natural prevention of heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and many other cardiovascular conditions is saving millions of lives around the world.

How Dr. Rath’s Protocol Saved My Husband’s Life

Modern medicine gave him a grim prognosis; surgery, toxic medications, future surgeries, possible bankruptcy (in the U.S., homeowners lose their homes due to costly hospital bills)…

Doctors at the hospital were painting a frightening scenario. Fortunately, I had read A LOT of books on health and healing and I knew modern medicine was a “business of disease.” Rarely does it heal, but actually creates more “dis-ease” (pharmaceutical drugs are highly toxic chemicals) as it attempts to cover symptoms of underlying problems. Problems created by nutritional deficiency and toxicity.

My search led me to the work of world-renowned physician and cellular medicine researcher, Dr. Matthias Rath. I had read one of his books years earlier and had forgotten his discovery of vitamin C and its power to heal heart disease. (His protocol does include other nutrients as well.)

Rick lowered his cholesterol in less than 30 days. For his remarkable story and information about heart disease, I’ve written an article titled “Cholesterol and Heart Disease.”

Eat Vitamin C Rich Foods

Eat a wide variety of colorful fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. Vegetables are especially rich in plant nutrients (including vitamin C) and one of the easiest ways to get enough vegetables in your diet is by juicing them. Our green juice recipes are an excellent way of getting many micronutrients, such as bioflavonoids that produce a full range of benefits.

All Vitamin C (Supplements) is Not Created Equal

There are various forms of vitamin C. Some types are useless and may even be harmful, not to mention a waste of money.

According to Dr. Rath and Dr. Joseph Mercola, liposomal vitamin C is the most effective form of oral vitamin C.

Dr. Mercola further suggests Ester-C is an effective form as it does not cause gastrointestinal distress often associated with conventional ascorbic acid.

“If everyone were to take 500 mg. of vitamin C per day, an estimated 216,000 lives could be spared each year.”

Vitamin C Supplements

We suggest you consult your healthcare practitioner before beginning any supplement regimen or stopping any medicines you are currently taking. You’ve got to understand that allopathic doctors are not trained to treat their patients in the care of the human body. They have virtually no training in diet and nutrition, and treat symptoms of disease with pharmaceutical drugs. These toxic drugs create even more symptoms resulting in an unbalanced, malnourished-poisoned physical state.

Seek a nutritionally-informed physician such as a functional medicine doctor or naturopathic physician if possible. They have been trained to heal your body holistically; body, mind and soul. Naturally, the way nature/God intended. Find a functional medicine doctor here.
