Just Chill

This week, as I sorted through the titles I had mentally acquired for today’s blog, i.e., How You Can Change the World, it hit me, I had fallen into a rut.

For quite some time I had been “doing,” while unconsciously mourning the loss of my “being.” My Type A- personality had been so determined to strive for the ‘finish line,’ I had forgotten to enjoy the journey.

I realized it was paramount to my health and happiness that I remember my training and advice to others; life must be one of balance; rest, work, AND play.

As my discontent grew (a sign I needed to still my mind) I heard a voice say, “You'll never get it wrong, and you can't get it (all) done, just chill.”

From experience, (countless wailing and gnashing of teeth episodes), I knew that when my mind is calm, my body and spirit are in a receptive state. Creativity flows and there is an ease when perceived problems or issues arise.

Without resistance, conundrums are viewed as molehills, therefore, do not become insurmountable mountains. And multiple solutions become readily available.

Life was never meant to be a struggle. If it isn’t fun, don’t do it. Okay, I know that’s not always possible. However, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at, will change.
