The political milieu currently streaming across America is just short of the Twilight Zone. While surfing the internet, especially Facebook, I feel like jumping down the “rabbit hole’ one minute and gasping in shock, the next.
I learned early in life to I keep my views to myself. I walk a line that holds my truth. I may not share your beliefs, but I wouldn't judge nor condemn them either.
Despite deep convictions regarding humanity and the world’s betterment, I take no sides. Much to the chagrin of those who beat a heavy drum, I know in my soul I cannot affect positive change while resisting and judging “what is.”
I understand the political viewpoints of those whose wallets have dwindled in size, and I am sensitive to the rights of those who feel slighted and disregarded; harsh words offend not only the ear, but the heart as well.
Politics aren’t generally thought of as jewels, or anything precious, for that matter. And politicians can hardly be thought of as “priceless diamonds.” Yet amidst the ensuing chaos that is moving through the collective mind of America there lies a treasure… A treasure of jewels; precious stones that have come as change.
“All great changes are preceded by chaos.”
For significant change to have come we needed a catalyst. Last year’s election more than sufficed. After decades of indifference and apathy molded by subliminal mind-washing, Americans were jolted out of their apathetic coma-like state. From a deep slumber, the “sheeple” are waking.
Discontent, being the catalyst for change, is spurring Americans into action. No longer content to watch as others make the rules; or sit idly by and complain about the state of the country, they are gathering together for the first time, in a long time, talking about change.
How CanWeChange the World?
There is no conflict between us, no conflict outside us, only conflict within us.
We will change the world by first changing the world that lies within us.
