Treating & Preventing Diabetes Naturally

How You Got It and How to Treat It

Diabetes Affects Everyone

Diabetes is a fast growing lifestyle disorder that can be effectively managed with slight lifestyle modifications, exercise and a natural healthy diet.

Diabetes affects 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 3 children in the U.S.

Once rare, this insidious “dis-ease” is reaching every socio-economic group around the world. Food and beverages have changed in a big way. Highly processed artificial garbage created in a lab by scientists who have mastered the art of the “bliss point,” are wreaking havoc with our bodies. Making matters worse, they’re addictive.

A hand emerging out from a mountain of sugar.

The advertising media unscrupulously poisons the public mind and most don’t have a chance in hell of coming out unscathed. Proof in point, the countless millions sick and dying in America (and around the world). The industrial food industry is driving the sick epidemic in America and around the world, burdening the middle class who is forced to pay for it while driving shareholder healthcare stocks up.

Over 80% of food items found in grocery stores are processed and loaded with lab created toxic sugars that create havoc in your body. Sugar-laden processed foods (everything from bread to spaghetti sauce) are fueling the obesity and sick care epidemic, maiming and killing millions.

Conventional treatment generally fails because like most allopathic medicine, it does not address underlying causes. Whether it’s misinformation or toxic drugs, one thing is certain, you cannot heal unless you give your body the nutrients and exercise it needs. Pharmaceutical drugs poison the body; creating more symptoms (problems) and interfering with the body’s own healing mechanism. Manipulating one’s insulin level will not encourage the body to heal itself.

Change Your Diet, Change Your Life

A healthy diet, physical activity, and maintaining a healthy weight is an important part of diabetes treatment. Nutritionally-minded doctors often recommend natural herbal and nutritional supplements, as they are known to be an effective contribution to a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Unfortunately, some of us are just born unlucky. According to our trusted medical resources, juvenile onset diabetes has no known cure. However, having survived a life-threatening illness,

I am an optimist and believe that incurable only means curable within.

Eat Food Designed for You

Without a doubt, eating and drinking processed foods causes illness. Diabetes and many common “dis-eases,” are the effect of consuming a diet that does not provide adequate nutrition. Consuming unhealthy foods simply poisons the body and causes it to slowly starve to death. In most cases, diabetes is easily treated and prevented when we adopt a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Perfect health is not only the absence of disease, it is your birthright.

The human body is designed to eat real food,

not food that was designed in a lab or manufactured in a processing plant.

Many people have no idea what healthy food looks like. A brief stroll in the produce section of the grocery store causes them to cringe. Vegetables? How can they taste good? How do I cook healthy food? Isn’t it expensive? These are questions I hear all the time and I know that if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, you’re ready for a change. It will take time and work but what’s more important than your health? Your health is your greatest wealth, for without it, you have nothing.

There are lots of specific diets out there. At Eden’s Corner, we know there’s a diet for everyone. However, your “diet” should be a lifestyle. Diets that restrict calories and most of your favorite foods are a recipe for failure.

Just Say No to Sugar!

Sugar. Not just any sugar

There are over 60 names for sugar and chances are you can’t tell by looking at the label. And those names are so cleverly designed and disguised- added sugars are not required on food labels until US laws take effect in 2018- that it’s impossible to avoid them. All processed food contributes to malnutrition and toxicity: the cause of virtually ALL “dis-eases.”

Pediatrician, Dr. Robert Lustig, has done extensive research on sugar and its various forms, in particular, fructose. His work supports the understanding that sugar may very well be the greatest contributing risk factor for diabetes. His research supports the landmark study done by the Journal of the Obesity Society that, limiting sugar in children’s diets improves their health.

Natural Prevention and & Treatment of Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes is Preventable and Naturally Treatable

There are various treatment options available to keep blood sugar levels under control, a natural approach can work wonders in managing diabetes. These alternative treatments can help control blood sugar levels, reduce resistance to insulin, and prevent diabetes-related complications.

Eat Real Food

Foods to Avoid

Food and Beverages

Food and beverages have changed in a big way. Highly processed artificial garbage created in a lab by scientists who have mastered the art of the bliss point,”  are wreaking havoc with our bodies. Making matters worse, they’re addictive.

Super Market aisle lined with processed foods.

Processed foods

Most anything that comes in a box, can or package. Loaded with different sugars, trans fats, chemicals, unhealthy sodium chloride (salt), etc.

All types of sugar

In particular, high fructose corn syrup HFCS.

Fruits

You may need to avoid them until your blood sugar is under control.

Bottled juices

Any beverage that comes in a box, can or package.

Grains

Breads, cereals, rice, pasta, potatoes and corn. Especially until you get your blood sugar under control.

Trans-fats

Specifically, hydrogenated shortening, found in many snacks such as crackers, cookies and cakes.

Processed Meats

Loaded with harmful sodium and sugars. Harvard School of Public Health study found that eating processed meats increased the risk of heart attack by 42% and type 2 diabetes by 19%.

Fast Foods

Eating at fast food joints is like playing Russian Roulette with your health.

While this list may appear restrictive, eliminating processed foods is the only way you can take control of your health. You’ve got to understand that industrial food chemicals confuse your brain; chemicals interfere with vital processes and in many cases, you can’t recognize when you are full which leads to overeating. In addition, the addictive nature of junk food causes you to crave foods laden with unhealthy fats, salt, sugar and dangerous chemicals. There are over 10,000 different additives used in the industrial food industry.

Because “dis-ease” begins due to nutritional wasting, holistic physicians agree the body must be “built up” and brought back into balance using the effectiveness of supplements.

Dr. Matthias Rath's

Supplement Protocol to Prevent and Treat Diabetes Naturally

Dr. Rath's recommendations for diabetic patients: Start immediately with this program of essential nutrients and inform your doctor about it. Take the essential nutrients in addition to your diabetes medication and do so regularly. High amounts of vitamin C, for example, can spare insulin units, and you should have additional blood sugar controls at the beginning of this vitamin program. Do not stop or change any prescription medication without consulting your doctor.

Vitamin C is perhaps the most important nutrient on this list. It is well documented that a deficiency of this nutrient contributes to metabolic syndrome. Take at least 1,000 mg. or 1 gm. of vitamin C every 4 hours while awake. You may experience lose stools if you’re taking too much.  Adjust your dose if you are experiencing this problem. Vitamin C is available in capsules or powder form.

Conventionally trained doctors have virtually no training in diet and nutrition. They treat symptoms of disease (malnutrition and toxicity) with pharmaceutical drugs. These toxic drugs create even more symptoms that further poison an already unbalanced and malnourished body.
