Forgotten Truths, healthy woman holding blossoms.

Forgotten Truths

From the beginning of the spoken word we have shared our truths. Stories that showed our children and their children how to live; what foods to eat that will nourish our bodies, where to find fresh water that will quench the thirst and how to care for those we love.

Our ancestors kept the ‘story of us’ alive through memory and practice. From these truths our societies and cultures were created. These stories were words we lived by. Words that ensured our survival.

Yet today, we have forgotten these truths. The storytellers are gone, or perhaps just silent. What has happened to us? Where is our strength and determination to survive?

Truth and forgotten truths, hieroglyph image.

As I look out at a society that once seemed so proud, fearless in the face of challenges I ask,

“Where have the storytellers gone?”

Why has the human race drawn battle lines? Aren’t we all children of the same God/Creator?

We have forgotten the truth:

We are spiritual beings that have forgotten who we are. We have let our fearful egos rule our minds and lives. Egos that block our hearts from expressing compassion, from remembering we have a duty as caretakers of this world, and future generations, to pass on our knowledge so that we all may survive.

We aren’t listening to our intuition (inner intelligence). We’ve let others convince us that they have the authority, the right, to tell us what we must eat, drink, buy and how we must heal and live our lives.

Ponder this…

Why/how did we ever believe it was okay to grow our foods with chemicals? Or kill anything or anyone with chemicals? Or clean anything with chemicals? And pollute our earth, water and each other?

We have forgotten the truth:

Our omniscient creator has provided everything we need to thrive upon our earth.

Our bodies were not created to consume or absorb anything other than that which nurtures health and well-being.

We are here to protect each other and our planet.

Why/how did we ever think it was okay to feed our families processed food when we know in our hearts it will not nourish them and will only lead to illness and disease?

We have forgotten the truth:

We’ve let our fearful egos

(the small scared self)

rule our lives. It is evident in the mass consumption of poisons

(junk food and artificial medicines);

the apathy that keeps Americans ignorant to

corporate and government injustices; and consumerism

(the endless pursuit to acquire more material possessions)

that we have strayed from a life that could bring what every one really wants, happiness.

Why/how did we get here?

We have strayed because we are humans with an ego. As a society we have been manipulated, molded, and shaped into a mere semblance of who and what we really are. We are lost.

Processed food, forgotten truths about healthy living.

We are gullible, naïve and easily influenced. Our fears and desires have twisted our values; creating a nightmarish reality. Paradoxically, we have created the nightmare. And never saw it coming.

The boiling of the frog has happened here in America. Will you wake up before the end of your life?
