Natural Pain Relief
Powerful Herbs That Kill Pain Fast
We have all experienced the debilitating effects of aches and pains that brings us reaching for over-the-counter pills. Pain is the body’s natural signal that something is wrong. It may be temporary but it can also mean a serious health problem that needs professional help. If you’re suffering from any type of pain, the first impulse is to reach for a pill. Many people rely on medications but face the risk of side effects and possible habit forming addictions to pain relievers.
It wasn’t that long ago, nature’s medicines were our main forms of healing. Fortunately, public dissatisfaction with the cost of prescription medications (not to mention their toxic side effects) has led many to return to natural remedies.
Natural Pain Relief
When it comes to pain relief, you may be surprised at what other natural options can help you feel better. Natural herbal vitamins and supplements can offer fast relief for many conditions, such as arthritis, stress and even muscle strains without the side effects of OTC pills. Today, an increasingly popular way to manage pain is through natural pain treatment like herbal medicine and supplements, in which parts of a plant are used medicinally as a pain reliever and treat stress and health problems. The next time you’re in pain or under stress remember there are various herbs and supplements that can best treat pain, inflammation and other related conditions.
Why do they call it
When it is the
That humans have been using for thousands of years?
Whether you suffer from a
headache, back pain, physical trauma, or other pain, nature/God has created a medicine for you.
These are some of the more commonly used herbs for pain:
Arnica- homeopathic remedies are useful in treating sprains, bruises, soreness, muscle aches and the pain and swelling of arthritis.
White Willow Bark- Nature’s original aspirin has been used as a headache reliever for over 2,000 years. Bayer first synthesized its active compound, salicylic acid, in 1899.
Ginger- Powerful anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. Use the fresh root liberally in your juices, cooking, and powdered in hot cereal and baking. It is delicious steeped in boiling water and drank as a tea. Take a thumb size piece sliced into smaller pieces and simmer in slow boiling water for 10-15 minutes. I like to add peppermint leaves fresh or dried and some lemon balm. Sweeten with a touch of honey.
Turmeric- Effective in relieving pain. Hundreds of studies prove turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory/pain reliever; from Alzheimer’s to arthritis to cancer, it is perhaps one of nature’s most healing herbs. It is furiously being studied by pharmaceutical companies in their race to synthesize its active compounds. I take 1+ T. of organic powered turmeric in ¼- ½ c. of warm water. It’s absolutely amazing. Runners, and anyone that is physically active may find it beneficial. Available in capsules and powder.
Capsaicin/Hot Peppers- Long used as a cream for nerve and muscle pain. Dr. Christopher’s cream salve is awesome for pain, especially those suffering with shingles, migraine headaches, back aches, diabetic neuropathy, arthritis and more.
Peppermint Oil- Used for thousands of years to cool and calm the body. Relieves sore muscles, has anti-nausea benefits and soothes the stomach. Miraculous digestive aid!

DON’T IGNORE YOUR PAIN
We must always remember that pain is the body’s signs and signals that something is amiss and there is an imbalance within the body. We are often quick to ignore pain by numbing it with a patent or OTC (over-the-counter) drug. Pain is not a drug deficiency. Recurring pain is an underlying warning signal that issues within the body need to be addressed.
If you have recurring pain seek a functional medicine doctor or naturopath. Everything from posture, lack of adequate water, poor diet, poor sleep habits, unresolved emotional issues and much more can contribute to pain.
Adopt a Healthy Diet & Lifestyle with These Strategies
Healthy plant-based diet to minimize inflammation (toxicity) and acidity in the body
Drink adequate water to hydrate and flush system of toxins
Regular exercise such as yoga, walking, etc.
Another Perspective with Proven Results
Pain that has not responded to conventional treatment may be alleviated and often resolved, with EFT. EFT, the emotional freedom technique, combines the principles of acupuncture (without needles!) and modern psychology. It is simple and can be learned in minutes. I discovered EFT while experiencing a life threatening illness. It was a lifesaver, and I continue to use it today. It’s amazing and once you try it you’ll understand why many people have embraced this incredible bodywork technique.
Faster EFT is an ingenious method developed by Robert Smith that has helped many people resolve emotional/physical pain.
