Eat lots of fresh vegetables (preferably organic)
Nuts & Seeds
Extra virgin olive oil
Wide variety of herbs & spices as seasonings
Small amounts of organic, free-range animal protein
Low-fat dairy foods, like yogurt and cheese, generally from goat’s milk (in small amounts)
Whole grain rice & pasta, quinoa & oats
Fruit, preferably for snacks or dessert
1/2 four ounce servings of red wine - I wouldn’t purchase just any wine in the grocery store thinking that it’s healthy. Do your homework, all wine is not created equally. Remember, those folks have generations of drinking wine. There aren’t a lot of “rehabs” over there for a reason.
