All Purpose Cleaner
I’ve been making my own DIY all purpose cleaner for years. And while there are many different recipes out there, this one is simple, cheap, and works great.
Despite commercial advertising, you don’t need toxic chemicals to get things clean; just nature made ingredients that naturally kill germs, deodorize (leaving a clean, fresh scent) and get your house sparkling clean. And no toxic chemical residue that lingers on little hands and animal feet. Now, you don’t have to poison to protect.
Why pay for expensive advertising that sells you toxic, cancer-causing chemicals? (Sorry about that, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.) See how your current cleaning product rates on the toxicity scale here.
This DIY All Purpose Cleaner costs only pennies to make. It’s effective, safe for you and your family, your pets, and won’t harm the environment like common store brands do.
As more of us choose to vote with our dollars and buy safe products, the chemical companies will get the message. Oh, and don’t be fooled by so-called “green” cleaning products like Green Works. Clorox, Proctor & Gamble and other major chemical brands are jumping on the green bandwagon to get a share of the profits. A closer look reveals their products to be expensive and/or harmful to you and the planet.
Pregnant and breastfeeding moms should be especially careful for the sake of themselves as well as their developing children.
Chemical companies are well protected and are not required to list their ingredients on the label. You’d have to be a chemist to decipher them anyway. 80,000 unregulated chemicals, and only a few hundred have been tested for safety.
Whether you decide to make your own DIY cleaning products or purchase a safe alternative that we have carefully researched for you
(companies with integrity), you can feel good knowing you’re making your home and the world a cleaner and safer place to live.

*You can use generic, less expensive ingredients if they’re free of chemical additives. However, when circumstances allow, support companies that are socially and environmentally responsible.
Vinegar helps to remove stains, cuts through grease and grime and dispels odors. It is a staple in household cleaning.
Why Baking Soda?
Baking soda is a powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. It is a potent deodorizer and stain remover. Contains anti-bacterial properties and should be a staple in your cleaning basket.
